Design Experience:
Art Director and owner of Off the Wall Industries, since 1996, with projects for National Public Radio, Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park, Anti-Defamation League, DCJCC, and a wide variety of associations and magazines. Winner of both Excel and Apex Awards for magazine design.
Teaching Experience:
Adjunct Professor of Graphic Design for American University. Design consultant and layout coach for Edmund Burke School and Woodrow Wilson Senior High School.
Education:
Graduate of Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (M.A. International Affairs and Journalism), American University (B.A. Graphic Design), School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (coursework in Studio Arts), and Tufts University (B.S. Psychology).
Personal:
Parent Educator and Parent Consultant at the Parent Encouragement Program (www.PEPparent.org). Wendie is the mother of four teenagers. In her spare time, she does yoga, knits, and trains for century rides with her husband, Seth.
